Hamas terrorist sentenced to life for deadly West Bank attack
Security forces arrest 3 suspects in deadly Har Adar terror attackThree suspects were arrested hours after the deadly shooting attack in the Har Adar settlement. Israeli forces also raided the Palestinian village of Beit Surik, where the terrorist lived.
Israeli forces have arrested three people for suspected involvement in Tuesday's terror attack in the settlement of Har Adar, in which a police officer and two security guards were murdered.
In addition, IDF and Border Police troops raided the terrorist's hometown of Beit Surik. Disturbances erupted during the raid, with some locals throwing stones at officers.
Drora Bardizchev, a resident of Har Adar, said she had once employed the terrorist, Jamal Nimer, in her home. "I can't believe it. He seemed like a genuinely good person," she said.
"He never showed a sign of hatred," she added. "Many times we spoke about the relations between Jews and Arabs and he would tell me, 'There are crazy people on both sides,' and that they could learn from the way we're living in coexistence."
Bardizchev also addressed the reports indicating that Nimer's own family problems prompted him to carry out the attack. "He recently told me that his wife had run away to her parents in Jordan, and that her father convinced her to sue him, and that he needed a lot of money," she said.
A preliminary police investigation found that Nimer had beaten his wife, who then fled their home and left him alone with their children.
