Mine explosion in Jordan Rift Valley injures 7 IDF soldiers

The soldiers were reportedly on a routine mission to fix a fence near a minefield when their vehicle drove on one of the mines, causing an explosion.

Seven IDF soldiers were injured on Wednesday afternoon after their vehicle hit a mine in Jordan Rift Valley area. All of them are reportedly in good condition. The incident is currently under investigation.

According to preliminary information, the Combat Engineering Corps soldiers were on a routine mission to fix a fence near a minefield. While they were performing their duty, their military vehicle drove on a mine, causing an explosion.

Two of the injured soldiers were evacuated to the trauma unit at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem in full consciousness. The other five were given treatment on the scene.
