IDF forces neutralize terrorist during attempted stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction

IDF Kfir Brigade forces neutralized a knife-wielding terrorist who was running toward them. The forces shot the terrorist, who succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards. In the wake of the Friday prayer tensions at the Temple Mount, thousands of Palestinians are rioting in the streets of the West Bank, burning tires and throwing stones.

A knife-wielding terrorist was neutralized by IDF Kfir Brigade soldiers while running toward them at Gush Etzion Junction. Besides the terrorist, it is unknown of any further injuries among the soldiers who responded to the incident and neutralized the terrorist with gunfire. The terrorist succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards.

The attempted terror attack occurred as Friday prayers in Jerusalem dispersed relatively quietly while at the same time, hundreds of Palestinians rioted in dozens of different spots throughout the West Bank. An IDF soldier was slightly injured from rock-throwing during a riot near the Qalandiya checkpoint. Two Palestinians were injured from rubber bullets that were shot at them.

Near Qalqilya, 400 Palestinians burned tires and threw rocks at IDF forces stationed in the area, who utilized riot control to calm the scene. Other disruptions of order and riots occurred near Bil’in, Nil’in and Rachel’s Tomb. The rioters there also burned tires and threw rocks at IDF forces.
