Elite Duvdevan soldier injured by friendly fire in refugee camp

During an operation in the Dheisheh Refugee Camp near Bethlehem, IDF soldiers fired shots at two wanted Palestinians who were trying to flee the scene. As a result of the gunfire, an IDF soldier was moderately injured. Meanwhile, additional IDF forces arrested the brother and father of the Halamish terrorist in Kobar.

An IDF soldier from the elite Duvdevan Unit was moderately injured during an operation near Bethlehem on Tuesday night by friendly fire. The incident occurred in the Dheisheh Refugee Camp as the soldiers were trying to arrest two wanted Palestinians. The soldier was transported to a Jerusalem hospital.

During the operation, the soldiers fired at the wanted Palestinians after they tried to flee the scene. The Palestinians were also injured by the gunfire and transported to the hospital. The IDF has launched an investigation into the incident.

In addition to the operation in the Bethlehem area, IDF forces operated in the Palestinian village of Kobar, where the home of the Halamish terrorist is located. During the operation, the soldiers arrested the father and brother of the terrorist.
