A tank flipped over this morning (Wednesday) during an IDF Armored Corps battalion exercise in the Golan Heights. The three soldiers in the tank were slightly injured and the IDF is currently evaluating whether the incident occurred due to human error or the soldiers’ negligence.
The incident occurred during an exercise conducted by the 53rd Battalion of the IDF Armored Corps 188th Brigade in the Ahmadia fire zone. Initial investigation findings indicate that the tank missed the axis upon which it was traveling and flipped over.
This past weekend, an IDF soldier was severely injured from a grenade explosion during an exercise on the IDF’s Shivta Artillery base in the south. The soldier was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva and the IDF Military Police opened an investigation.
