Ultra-Orthodox anti-draft protesters on Friday hung posters comparing the head of the IDF's Manpower Directorate, Maj. Gen. Moti Almoz, to Adolf Hitler.

The posters accused Almoz of "burning the souls of Israel's men and women like they did in the Auschwitz crematories," calling the IDF "the army of conversion" and threatening that Almoz will face "an end like that of Hitler."

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has sharply condemned these statements, calling them "intolerable." "We cannot accept this kind of dangerous phenomenon," Lieberman said. "I call upon the police and the State Attorney's Office to immediately prosecute these criminals to the full extent of the law."

Two days ago, police arrested Haredi suspects who allegedly burned Israeli flags during last week's Lag BaOmer celebrations.
