Hundreds gathered in Moshav Mazor on Friday for the funeral of IAF Maj. Ohad Cohen Nov, who was killed two days ago when his F-16 fighter jet crash-landed. Cohen Nov is survived by his wife, who is pregnant, and his baby daughter.

"He was an amazing guy, a beautiful boy," Hadas, a family friend, told Channel 2 News on Thursday. "His ear-to-ear smile was his trademark. When he finished his flight course we came to the ceremony to watch him receive his wings pin. When he got married I decorated his car. This is just impossible to grasp."

Roee, a childhood friend, said, "Ohad was both the intelligent one in our group and the funniest one. He was the one who kept all of us together, and he was the one you would talk to when you needed someone to listen to you."

IAF Commander Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel has ordered an investigation into the deadly crash. The initial findings are expected to be published in a couple of days.
