A Hamas outpost in Gaza was hit by IDF airstrike this Saturday after Palestinians attempted to set fire to Israeli lands.

The outpost, located in the northern Gaza Strip near the border fence, was used by Hamas terrorists to fly flammable kites into Israeli territory on Saturday night.

“Hamas is solely responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF spokesman said Sunday morning. “The IDF will continue to act against terror above and below ground.”

In recent weeks, Palestinians have been regularly flying kites with firebombs attached to them into Israeli territory in attempts to burn fields and farms. This tactic was introduced during “March of Return” protests at the border fence and is encouraged by Hamas with the goal of erasing the border and “liberating Palestine.”
