An IDF tank attacked a Hamas observation post in the southern Gaza Strip this morning after terrorists crossed the border and set fire to an empty IDF position. The terrorists ran back into Gaza while IDF soldiers shot at them.

In addition, it was cleared for publication that a drone was flown from the Gaza Strip into Israel and crashed during the night. Israeli forces retrieved the device and are examining it.

In the West Bank, shots were fired towards two Israeli vehicles in the Binyamin area. There were no casualties. The IDF has set up roadblocks in the area as soldiers try to locate the shooters.

Last week, JOL reported that the IDF attacked Hamas targets in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday night in retaliation for heavy machine-gun fire at the city of Sderot and a number of shooting incidents targeting IDF soldiers during the day. Four of the targets attacked by the Israeli Air Force were buildings and terror infrastructure in a military compound and three more were in a weapons production facility, according to the official statement released by the IDF spokesman.
