Watch: IDF Duvdevan unit’s training video in honor of its military decoration

The Israeli special forces unit Duvdevan was decorated by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot for its operations, especially during the current terror wave in which it has arrested hundreds of wanted persons. In honor of the decoration ceremony, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit released a video of the unit’s operations.

Today (Thursday), a military decoration ceremony was held in honor of the IDF special forces unit Duvdevan for its operations this year. This elite special forces unit is known for its undercover operations within urban areas, while disguised as Arab civilians. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot awarded the unit’s decoration. In honor of the ceremony, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit released a video containing some of the unit’s operations from this year.

The decoration was awarded to Duvdevan’s commanders and soldiers for demonstrating determination, courage and creativity in carrying out their missions. Furthermore, the unit led continuous combat within the West Bank this year, while performing complex military operations.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, Duvdevan participated in hundreds of operations under complex combat conditions, in order to arrest wanted persons, thwart terror attacks and impact the terrorist infrastructure. The elite special forces unit also developed and implemented specialized weapons that enhanced the unit’s operational efficiency and intensified the undercover combat soldiers' abilities.
