IDF hero who neutralized Halamish terrorist received military citation

Several months ago, an IDF soldier on leave neutralized a terrorist who murdered 3 of his neighbors. Today, the soldier received a military citation for his actions during the event.

Today (Tuesday), the IDF soldier who neutralized the Halamish terrorist received the Divisional Commander Citation for his actions during the difficult event. The ceremony took place in the presence of the soldier’s family.

“In his actions, the soldier demonstrated the spirit of combat, dedication to the mission and managed to prevent an even greater tragedy,” stated Commander of the Central Command Roni Numa. “The IDF was blessed with brave and loyal soldiers and commanders…Our forces will continue to act every day to prevent terror through hidden and open means in order to preserve the security and quality of life of Israeli citizens.”

In addition, a certificate of appreciation was granted to the soldier’s father for his part in the neutralization of the terrorist who murdered 3 members of the Salomon family.

As reported last month by JOL, the Israeli Military Court convicted 5 family members of the terrorist. The family members are believed to have known of the terrorist’s intentions and they were convicted of not preventing the offense.
