The IDF Spokesperson's Unit has released photos of the Syrian T4 airbase that was bombed by Israeli forces. It was the home base of the Iranian drone that was downed by Israel on Saturday morning after infiltrating its airspace.

"Iran and the Quds Force have been operating in the Syrian T4 airbase near Palmyra for a long time, backed by Syrian army forces and with permission from the Syrian regime," the IDF said. Israeli officials have stated that the Iranian attack has confirmed all of Israel's warnings regarding Iran's military establishment in Syria.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon issued a statement expressing the US' full support of "Israel's inherent right to defend itself against threats to its territory and its people."

The statement added that the US Defense Department did not participate in the attack, but called for "greater international resolve in countering Iran's malign activities."
