An IDF reservist unit that has been operating for several weeks in the area of southern Mount Hebron thwarted two terror attacks in the past 48 hours. On Thursday, the reservists thwarted a stabbing attack. Today, they uncovered a stash of weapons that was most likely to be used in a shooting attack.

The unit received a tip about a stockpile of weapons hidden in a building in a local village. The reservists rushed to the scene, surrounded the building and began to search the area. In the building and buried in the yard, they found guns, M16 assault rifles and bullets.

Earlier this week, 29-year-old Itamar Ben-Gal was murdered by an Israeli Arab in Ariel. The father of four was laid to rest in the Har Bracha settlement on Tuesday. Hundreds of people attended his funeral. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog visited his family to pay their respects after the ceremony.
