A former IDF paratrooper will be receiving disability pension from the army after developing an allergic reaction when he was stung by a bee during his service.

The incident took place during Operation Protective Edge. After being stung while guarding, the soldier reported dizziness and difficulty breathing. He was hospitalized and later discharged from the army.

Earlier this week, more than two years after filing the request for the army to recognize him as disabled, the soldier received a letter telling him his request has been approved.
