IDF trying to collect information on man who crossed border from Israel to Lebanon

The man has been identified by Lebanese media sources as Shadi Mazhar, who comes from a family of SLA veterans who fled to Israel in 2000.

IDF forces conducted searches in the Upper Galilee Thursday night after spotting a man cross the border from Israel to Lebanon.

Lebanese media sources have identified the man as Shadi Mazhar, who comes from a family of South Lebanon Army (SLA) veterans who fled to Israel in 2000. According to reports, Mazhar turned himself in to the Lebanese military.

Israeli security authorities are reportedly trying to acquire more information as to the man's identity and the reason for his decision to cross the border and turn himself in.
