In approximately 3 weeks, hundreds of engineering tools will begin operating in the area of the Gaza border to build an obstacle against tunnels. It is believed that Hamas will make various attempts to interfere with the work.

A year of work will cost 3 billion shekels (850 million dollars), and has been criticized by some as unnecessary. In addition, the IDF is preparing for the tunnel threat in different ways- it has recently been working to train the Special Forces Units such as Moran, Shaldag, Duvdevan and others for an operational supplement that will allow them flexibility and assist in the need to be professional in a wide variety of capabilities.

A special facility has been built exactly for the purpose. It is an underground tunnel, which is above the ground. The dimensions are exact, the walls are transparent with plastic sheets so soldiers can work to train and improve their movement in a dark tunnel with or without a robot.
