Israeli Air Force aircraft attacked this afternoon (Monday) several targets in Gaza in response to the rocket that was fired toward Israel early this morning. Most of the targets were located near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. However, some targets were located in northern Gaza.

According to Palestinian news outlets, Israel launched 15 attacks targeting buildings used by Hamas. Two Hamas terrorists were injured in the attacks. The terrorist organization stated in response to Israel’s attacks: “We will not agree to the new equation that Israel is creating.”

“Israel is responsible for the escalation [of violence] and the continuation of the attacks is unacceptable and will not be allowed,” stated Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum.

Earlier today, a rocket landed in an open field in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council. The Red Alert rocket siren was not sounded because there was no threat of the rocket landing in a populated area. No damage or injuries were reported.
