3 people injured during terror attack in Jerusalem

A knife-wielding terrorist arrived to Hagai Street in Jerusalem’s Old City and stabbed two yeshiva students and an Israel Border Police officer. Immediately afterwards, the terrorist fled the scene but was spotted near Ateret HaCohanim Yeshiva, where he was shot and eliminated. The victims were transported to the hospital in order to receive medical care.

Two 18-year-olds sustained slight and moderate injuries and an Israel Border Police officer was slightly injured from a terror attack on Hagai Street in Jerusalem’s Old City. The terrorist who carried out the stabbing attack was shot and eliminated by Israeli security forces who were present at the scene.

According to initial reports, the terrorist stabbed the two 18-year-old yeshiva students and immediately fled the scene. At that point, he was spotted near Ateret HaCohanim Yeshiva, where he was shot by an Israeli security force member.

Rescue forces evacuated the victims, who sustained wounds on their upper bodies and limbs, from the scene into ambulances that had been dispatched. The victims were transported to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in order to receive medical treatment.

The Israel Police closed the Old City gates following the terror attack. As a result, there have been reports regarding several confrontations near the Damascus Gate in which dozens of Palestinians threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police officers. The rioters were dispersed as officers utilized tear gas.
