Two terror attacks occurred this evening (Friday) in Jerusalem. At the Damascus Gate, two terrorists attacked Israel Border Police officers, critically injuring a policewoman, who was evacuated to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds. One of the terrorists held a Carl Gustav M/45 submachine gun and luckily, the gun jammed, which prevented a much more serious incident from occurring. The two terrorists were shot and eliminated.

At the same time at Zedekiah’s Cave, at least one terrorist attacked two civilians, slightly injuring them, and was shot by Israeli security forces. The possibility that another terrorist fled the scene is being evaluated.

A total of five injured people were evacuated from the two terror attack scenes: the critically injured policewoman, two people who sustained moderate injuries and two more who were slightly injured. One of the injured is 40-year-old Palestinian man.

“This is a young woman around the age of 20 who was critically injured and had resuscitation attempts performed on her,” stated MDA CEO Eli Bin. “She was on her way to Sha’arei Tzedek and at the same time, we received reports of additional incidences.” Two slightly injured people were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem’s trauma unit, one with a fragment and one panic attack victim.
