A right-wing Israeli legal aid group has asked Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to amend a law that compels military courts to sentence terrorists under the age of 14 to up to six months in prison only.

This loophole was discovered after a 13-year-old Palestinian boy was recently sentenced to 58 days in prison for attempting to stab Israelis at a bus stop near the settlement of Kiryat Arba in September.

An Israeli judicial official explained that the reason why this loophole hasn't been discovered until now may be the fact that trials of teenage terrorists are held behind closed doors with no media present.
