Last week, former head of the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute Prof. Yehuda Hiss testified for the defense and spoke out against the management of the institute that he previously headed. “I don’t know when the terrorist died,” he stated, “But I know that when the bullet hit his head, he was already dead.”
Hiss was questioned by the prosecution after he submitted his expert report to the court and stressed that while he was not present during the autopsy and never saw the terrorist’s body, his conclusions were based on the data from the autopsy and the knowledge he accumulated over the years.
During his testimony, Hiss claimed that the doctors performed an “amateur and unprofessional” autopsy, adding that because this case holds great political and social importance, it was expected of the autopsy team members to perform their job in the most professional manner.
