Mother of terrorists who murdered IDF soldier expelled to West Bank

During an overnight raid in the Bedouin town of Kuseife, Israeli security forces arrested the parents of Khaled and Zuhay Abu Jouda, who murdered IDF soldier Ron Kukia back in November. Their mother, whose entry permit had since been revoked, was expelled to the West Bank after forces found out she had entered Israel illegally.

IDF Border Police forces on Wednesday arrested the parents of Khaled and Zuhay Abu Jouda, who murdered IDF soldier Ron Kukia in a November stabbing attack in Arad. Their mother was expelled to the West Bank after it was discovered that she was staying in Israel illegally.

Immediately after the deadly attack, Israeli authorities revoked the terrorists' mother's entry permit. During an overnight raid in the Bedouin town of Kuseife, forces found out she had entered Israel without a permit. Her husband was questioned for assisting her but was released soon after. The forces also confiscated multiple weapons from locals in the town.

According to the brothers' indictment in December, Khaled withdrew NIS 54,000 from his back account in order to use it for living while fleeing the IDF after exercising his plan to carry out an attack. He originally intended to kidnap an Israeli soldier using anesthetic drugs, which he told the Shin Bet he had access to through his work at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

At some point, after realizing the complexity of his plan, he asked his half-brother, Zuhay, to assist him in murdering an Israeli soldier and taking his rifle.
