Early this morning (Friday), two unknown suspects infiltrated an abandoned IDF base in the Golan Heights being guarded by four IDF Artillery Corps soldiers and were able to steal the soldiers’ rifles while they were sleeping. After inspecting, it seems that the suspects most likely fled through a hole in the base’s fence. Two Tuba-Zangariyye residents were arrested for suspected involvement in the theft.

The four IDF Artillery Corps soldiers were sent as a security force to an abandoned IDF base in the Golan Heights. The soldiers went to bed last night safely placing their rifles underneath their pillows. The thieves were able to steal two of the soldiers’ M16 rifles.

After a manhunt conducted by IDF soldiers and the Israel Police, the suspects were located and arrested, but the rifles were no longer in the suspects’ possession.
