For the second time in a week, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip last night exploded in Israel. There were no reports of injuries or damage. The IDF has not responded to the latest rocket fire, which has occurred for the fifth time within a month.
The rocket that was fired from Gaza landed in an open area in the Ashkelon Regional Council. The Red Alarm was not activated because it landed in an open area. Israeli forces were sent to search for remnants of the rocket.
Earlier this week as reported by JOL, an additional rocket exploded in an open field within the Sha’ar Ha-Negev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported from that incident. A number of hours after the firing from Gaza began this week, the Israeli Air Force targeted a number of terror targets in Gaza in response to the rocket fire upon the Sha'ar Ha-Negev Regional Council. The attacks were implemented near the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in Central Gaza. A number of terror targets in Northern Gaza were also attacked.
