Terrorist’s nephews supposedly knew about their uncle’s plan to execute terror attack

Following today’s terror attack near Jerusalem’s Ammunition Hill, the Israel Police arrested three of the terrorist’s nephews. They are suspected of having prior knowledge of their uncle’s intention to carry out the terror attack. His father was also arrested and interrogated, but was later released.

This evening (Sunday) following the terror attack near Jerusalem’s Ammunition Hill Light Rail station, the Shin Bet and Jerusalem police arrested three of the terrorist’s nephews. They were brought in for questioning under the suspicion that they had prior knowledge of their uncle’s intention to carry out the terror attack and the possibility that they had aided him. The terrorist’s father was also arrested and interrogated, but was later released. 

Meanwhile this evening, Jerusalem police operated within Jerusalem’s Silwan neighborhood, where the terrorist lived. The police worked to sever any attempt at civilians conducting rallies in support of the terrorist.

During the effort to dissolve support rallies, the police thwarted those distributing candy and even prevented the terrorist’s family from setting up a mourning tent. Furthermore, Jerusalem police arrested residents who sought to close their businesses and stores in solidarity with the terrorist.
