Two combat soldiers from the IDF’s elite special operations Duvdevan unit were conducting an undercover mission when they were arrested today (Saturday) by Palestinian police officers. Large numbers of IDF forces were dispatched to the scene and closed off the area in an attempt to rescue the commando soldiers, while Palestinian teenagers rioted by throwing rocks at them. The soldiers were later transferred by the Civil Administration back to the IDF, which will investigate how the undercover soldiers’ identities were exposed.

As the Palestinian police officers held the two commandos, the IDF forces who were dispatched to the scene reported the incident, quickly shut down Nablus and worked near Jneid prison and An-Najah University in order to rescue the soldiers.
