Colonel in IDF charged for inappropriately tasking soldiers

Former Ephraim Brigade Commander, Col. Guy Berger is accused of inappropriate behavior for suspicion that he used the soldiers under his command for personal use. According to the charges filed under the plea agreement, Berger would regularly request from his soldiers and non-commissioned officers to perform personal tasks on his home and car.

Today, charges were filed against Col. Guy Berger with the Special Military Court for inappropriate behavior. According to the charges, Berger used on a number of occasions conscripted and employed soldiers for his own personal needs.

The charges filed were under a plea agreement as Berger has agreed to take full responsibility of and confessed to the actions he is being charged for.  The Israel Defense Forces has emphasized that the Colonel will not be completing his IDF service in light of this investigation.
