Watch: Israeli, US, French navies cooperate in joint exercise

Over the past two weeks, the IDF’s Underwater Missions Unit held a joint exercise with the US and French navies. The exercise focused on mine clearance and prevention of terrorism.

Over the past two weeks, the IDF’s Underwater Missions Unit performed a unique joint exercise together with the US Navy and the French Navy. In the video, soldiers can be seen diving and performing different operations that lead to explosions at the heart of the sea.

The first week of the exercise focused on mine clearance with the assistance of special tools for locating objects under water. During the second week, the focus was prevention of hostile terrorist activity.

At the end of the exercise, US and French Navy soldiers said that they learned a lot about the Israeli methods of operation and also shared from their experience. Israeli navy personnel described the exercise as a success.
