Written deal between MKs Yachimovich and Cabel exposed

Despite the fact that both of them vehemently deny that there was a political deal between them, a document signed by MK Shelly Yachimovich from last year proves that she and MK Eitan Cabel made a deal.

Just this evening, MK Shelly Yachimovich (Zionist Union) denied that she and MK Eitan Cabel (Labor) struck a deal claiming that an agreement of this sort “never happened and never existed.” However, a written agreement between the two from February 5, 2017 proves otherwise.

The document titled “Agreement” states that since Yachimovich wishes to run for the New Histadrut Leader and Cabel wants to run for the party leadership, the two will support eachother.

“Since Shelly and Eitan have shared similar views for some time regarding the future of the Histadrut and the Labor Party, the two have agreed that from now on, they will cooperate out of true friendship, mutual trust, and through a political, moral and public partnership,” the agreement reads. “It was agreed upon that Eitan and Shelly will do whatever they can in order to aid one another from this point forward in progressing their public, moral and political aims and goals in all subjects.”
