Nikki Haley in Israel: UN understands it can no longer bully IsraelUS Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley landed in Israel this morning for a three-day visit. “If there is something that I have zero tolerance for, it’s bullying, and the United Nations has acted with such behavior toward Israel simply because it can,” Haley told Israel’s prime minister.
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday morning in Jerusalem. After Netanyahu thanked Haley for voicing her support for Israel in the UN, she said: “If there is something that I have zero tolerance for, it’s bullying, and the United Nations has acted with such behavior toward Israel simply because it can.”
“All I did was tell the truth,” Haley continued. “I’m quite thrilled by the reaction.” The US ambassador to the UN also said that she believes that Washington has made it clear to the UN member states that they can no longer continue their anti-Israel behavior.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin sat down with Haley prior to her meeting with Netanyahu. Rivlin reportedly told her that she is a true friend of Israel and that thanks to her, Israel is no longer the punching bag of the international body.
Haley landed in Israel this morning for a three-day trip. Later, she will visit several sites and sit down with Palestinian leaders.
