Israel inclined to agree to US demands for Visa Waiver ProgramFor the first time, Israel on Monday expressed a basic willingness to grant the US full access to Israel's fingerprint database in order to be able to join the Visa Waiver Program, which would ease the visa requirement policy for Israeli citizens.
Israelis flying to the US may soon not need to carry a visa, as Israel has reportedly said it is willing to comply with the US' demands for inclusion in the Visa Waiver Program.
Up until now, Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely has consistently declined the US' request for full access to Israel’s fingerprint database as a precondition for easing visa requirements for Israeli citizens.
According to an exclusive Channel 2 News report, the Israeli Foreign Ministry is currently negotiating with the Trump administration to find a way to grant the US access to Israel's still-uncompleted fingerprint database while minimalizing the harm of privacy.
