The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced this morning that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to appoint Minister-without-portfolio Ayoob Kara to the position of Israel’s communications minister. Netanyahu previously offered the position to Israeli Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, who declined the offer.

Over the weekend, Netanyahu met with Tzachi Hanegbi, who held the position of Israel’s communications minister for a three-month trial period. It is believed that during this meeting, Netanyahu proposed that Hanegbi remain the communications minister.
