Jewish-American lawmakers are urging the Israeli government to reverse its decisions on the Western Wall and conversions, some even issuing veiled threats to stop their support of Israel.

Furthermore, AIPAC leaders who arrived in Israel Thursday morning held an emergency meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which they reportedly told him they had "lost the incentive to act in Israel's favor."

On Sunday, the government decided to suspend a plan to build an egalitarian prayer section at the Western Wall, and to promote a bill that would grant the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate full control over conversions to Judaism.

Cabinet Secretary Tzachi Braverman visited the Western Wall on Thursday, accompanied by officials from the Israel Antiquities Authority, in a seeming attempt to soften the blow.
