Yesterday (Sunday), JOL reported that 25 Likud MKs declared that they signed a petition against the evacuation and destruction of the Israeli outpost of Amona. Today, it was discovered that a new bill aimed at making it harder for Palestinians to appeal to Israel’s Supreme Court regarding the matter of Israeli outposts will be presented soon by the Likud.

According to the bill, only a Palestinian who can prove that he is the owner of land on which an Israeli outpost was built will be allowed to appeal to the Supreme Court. “It’s time to put an end to the destruction of Jewish homes,” said Likud Youth chairman David Shain. “It is unacceptable that the Supreme Court rules to destroy homes when it is unclear who’s the owner of the land.

Most of the appeals today are public appeals that are filed by organizations such as Peace Now or Palestinians who claim that they are the owners of the land but have no proof to back up their claims.

The bill will be presented by MK Miki Zohar (Likud). It is estimated that the bill will receive widespread support from the Likud and other right-wing political parties.
