Yesterday evening (Saturday), MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint Arab List) harshly criticized Netanyahu for claiming that the Palestinians are calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the West Bank. According to Tibi, “ethnic cleansing is the more than 400 Palestinian villages that existed in 1948 and are no more.”

The MK added: “When the world demands in accordance to international law to evacuate the settlements and return their residents back to Israel, this isn’t because they are Jews. It is because they are occupiers who took over the land of another nation by force.” Tibi claimed that in 1948, Arab-Israelis owned 85% of private lands but today, they only own 3%.

“Whose land did we steal, Mr. Netanyahu?” continued Tibi. “What towns did we take over? We never took over the land of any Jew.” Tibi concluded by claiming that Netanyahu is “Smotrich just with an American accent,” referring to MK Bezalel Smotrich (Ha-Bayit Ha-Yehudi).
