Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with Yedioth Ahronoth's (Ynet) head Arnon "Noni" Mozes was recorded by Netanyahu's office manager.
A law enforcement official said to Channel 2 News "A disgusting conversation of give and take. On the one side, Mozes promised more positive coverage and on the other side, the Prime Minister said: 'I'll take care of you with the Israel Hayom law.'"
Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan received the recording a couple of months ago. They are still contemplating if this evidence is enough to conclude that this is a serious criminal case.
Yedioth Ahronoth's editor Ron Yaron distributed an email to the workers: "The publications have surprised us; no one in the paper's staff knew about this meeting."
