Today (Monday), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office published his conversations with US President Donald Trump and other senior-level US administration officials to prove that his position in the past did not change. “The things published in Fox News are a lie,” the Prime Minister’s Office responded to Fox News correspondent Conor Powell’s tweet.

Netanyahu’s Office published the following from a summary of a lunch at the White House: “The Prime Minister was asked about the embassy and explained that its transfer won’t cause bloodshed in the region, as he (US President Donald Trump) is made to believe.”

In addition, the Prime Minister’s Office published the following from a meeting with then-future US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, where Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer explained: “It will broadcast the message that we are in Jerusalem to stay. The transfer of the embassy will force the other side to deal with the lie that they are building- that Israel has no connection with Jerusalem. It will make them understand that Israel will remain forever and that its capital will be Jerusalem.”

“This is Prime Minister Netanyahu’s consistent and clear stance,” his office clarified. “Which was also expressed today.”

Earlier today, Netanyahu expressed his support for the transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem following US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s interview with NBC.
