UN to publish 'blacklist' of Israeli, US companies that operate in West BankDespite tremendous amounts of pressure, including a threat by the US that it would stop supporting the UN Human Rights Council, the UN is determined to publish the list near the end of 2017.
The UN Human Rights Council is expected to publish near the end of 2017 its list of companies that operate outside of the 1967 border.
The "blacklist," which was sent earlier this week to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, includes not only Israeli companies but also US-based companies that operate in these territories, such as TripAdvisor and Airbnb.
Among the Israeli companies included in the list are Teva, Bezeq, Elbit, Netafim, AFI Group, Coca Cola Israel, Bank Hapoalim and others.
Nikki Haley, the US envoy to the UN, has threatened in the past that the US would stop its financial support of the Human Rights Council if the list is published.
But despite the pressure, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, is determined to publish the list in December.
