Mexican: “With or without a wall, Mexicans will continue to enter the US”

As the diplomatic relations between America and Mexico begin to deteriorate, Channel 2 News interviewed three Mexicans about US President Donald Trump’s plan to build a wall between the two countries. While two criticized him, the third said that he can understand the logic behind Trump’s plan.

Channel 2 Online interviewed a few Mexicans and asked them what they think about US President Donald Trump’s plan to build a wall along the border between the two countries. “I think he’s mentally ill because he does things that are illegal, things that defy common sense, [things] that another president would never do,” said one Mexican citizen. “He hates and discriminates specifically against Mexicans.”

Another Mexican said that Trump wants the Mexicans “to work for him.” However, a third Mexican said that he can understand the logic behind Trump’s plan. “He’s protecting his country,” he said. “The factories in the US are closing and Americans think that he is doing the right thing.”

However, the third Mexican said that the wall will not stop Mexicans from entering America: “He [Trump] is harming the income of many families and this is harming Mexico. With or without a wall, Mexicans will continue to enter the US. Mexico does not need to pay for the wall because it is their border. The Americans will need to bear the consequences.”
