With less than 24 hours left until the polling stations open across the US on Election Day, the final polls show that the outcome will most likely be very close. According to a Bloomberg poll that was released today (Monday), Hillary Clinton has a 3-percentage point lead over her Republican opponent Donald Trump. The latest Washington Post/ABC News poll indicates that Clinton has a 4-percentage point advantage.

According to the Bloomberg poll, Clinton received 44% of the respondents’ support while Trump received 41%. The Washington Post/ABC News poll showed the respondents favored Clinton, who received 47% of the votes, opposed to Trump, who received 43%. Although the results were released today, the polls were conducted before the FBI director’s dramatic announcement about closing the investigation into Clinton’s email controversy yesterday evening.

Up until the last two weeks, most of the polls indicated a double-digit advantage for Clinton over Trump. However, in the days after the FBI director decided to reopen the investigation into Clinton, the gap between the two leading candidates significantly decreased.

Earlier, JOL reported that Clinton’s campaign welcomed the FBI director’s decision to close the investigation into the emails and not indict the Democratic candidate.
