As investigators question Florida Parkland high school shooter Nikolas Cruz, more details concerning the 19-year-old have surfaced. Blogger Ben Bennight, a bail bondsman from Mississippi who goes by the username BenTheBondsman, said he has previously alerted the FBI after a concerning comment was left on his video by a YouTube by user named Nikolas Cruz.

“When I saw the comment come though on my studio app on my iPhone I screenshot the comment, I hit the report button,” recalled Bennight in a video posted on Wednesday. The comment, reading “I’m going to be a professional school shooter,” was removed by the social media website.

Bennight then alerted the FBI about the comment. He was later interviewed by two agents but did not hear back from them until Wednesday after the shooting, when the agency interviewed Bennight again.

Students commented on the shooter, stating they “were not surprised” to find out it was Cruz and that he did not have many friends. Students had also commented on Cruz’s obsession with guns. Local Sherriff Scott Israel stated that the Sherriff’s Department has already started looking into Cruz’s digital history stating it is “very disturbing.”
