The FBI will be investigating whether or not the plane crash in Connecticut was an act of terrorism, an administration official said on Wednesday.

A student pilot was killed and three others injured when a twin-engine Piper PA 34 crashed around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in East Hartford, Connecticut. Initial investigations have indicated that the crash was the result of an intentional act.

"The area is very busy at that time of day and it missed everything," said East Hartford Police Lieutenant Timothy Juergens. "It's a miracle that more people weren't injured or killed."
