Fire and Fury: Trump slams controversial book, author defends claims
Trump claims to be 'very stable genius' after mental stability and intelligence questionedUS President Donald Trump took to his Twitter page in order to praise himself in response to the controversial Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. Trump slammed the media claiming that his achievements as a businessman, television star and politician should qualify him as "a very stable genius."
Following the publication of Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, in which US President Donald Trump’s mental stability is taken into question, Trump took to Twitter on Saturday in retaliation. Trump claimed that the “Democrats and their lapdogs, the Fake News Mainstream Media” are questioning his mental stability and intelligence now that the Russian controversy is what he claims to be a complete setup.
“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart,” Trump wrote. “I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. star, to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius…and a very stable genius at that!”
As reported earlier by JOL, Trump criticized Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff in another post on his Twitter account on Friday. The president said the author “made up stories” in order to sell his book, which he called “boring and untruthful." On Thursday, Trump said that Bannon "has nothing to do with me or my presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind."
