France: Many buried by snow avalanche in ski resort

Local rescue forces in the town of Tignes, France reported many casualties in a snow avalanche at a ski resort. Their condition is still unknown. Last month, 4 people died at the same place.

At least 30 people are buried in snow in the French Alps following an avalanche that occurred near the town of Tignes close to the border of Italy. The condition of those buried is still unknown.

According to French reports, the avalanche hit many of the skiers and large rescue forces are at the scene. The resort is closed for visitors.

Last month, 4 snowboarders were killed in an avalanche that occurred in exactly the same place. 2 of those killed were teens.
