Iran fires missiles at Syria-based militant groups in response to twin Tehran attacks

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated on Sunday that it has targeted the bases of militant groups in Syria with several missiles. According to Iran, the militant groups were responsible for the twin terror attacks in Tehran about two weeks ago.

Several Iranian news agencies reported on Sunday evening that Iran has fired several missiles at the bases of militant groups in eastern Syria. The missiles were fired from western Iran toward bases operated by groups that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards is holding responsible for the deadly terror attacks in Tehran about two weeks ago.

“The spilling of pure blood will not go unanswered,” said the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in a statement. In the twin terror attacks, 18 people were murdered. The attacks included the use of guns and suicide bombers and took place at the Iranian parliament building and the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
