China calls on US to stop threatening North Korea
ISIS calls for lone-wolf terror attacks in US cities hit by hurricanesAfter Texas and Florida suffered serious damage due to two major hurricanes, the ISIS terrorist group apparently called for terror attacks targeting Houston hurricane relief centers and Miami, according to a government document obtained by CNBC.
ISIS is encouraging its followers on social media to carry out “lone-wolf” terror attacks targeting the US cities that were recently hit by hurricanes, namely Miami and Houston, according to a government intelligence document obtained by CNBC. The document reportedly cites social media posts that appear to be linked to the murderous terrorist group.
“On Sept. 11, there was a twitter posting that appears to be authored by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) that threatens Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami and Las Vegas,” the document stated, according to the CNBC report. The document was dated September 14 and sent by the Homeland Security Bureau's Southeast Florida Fusion Center to local law enforcement agencies.
The document also mentions a Newsweek article from earlier this month. The article is about a social media post apparently written by an ISIS supporter. In the post, the supporter calls on ISIS sympathizers to target Houston hurricane relief centers in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Houston was severely damaged by Harvey, which made landfall as a Category 4 storm in Texas at the end of August. Several days later, Florida began to panic as Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 storm at the time that had already destroyed several Caribbean islands, neared the Florida Keys and Miami.
