Israeli tourist passed away at a guesthouse in India

40-year-old Israeli Itai De-mayo passed away on a beach in India. The details have yet to be clarified but it was stated that De-mayo suffered from asthma. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has updated his family and began preparations to transfer the body to Israel.

40-year-old Israeli citizen Itai De-mayo passed away this week in a guesthouse in India. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed today (Wednesday) the details of De-mayo's passing. The circumstances have yet to be fully clarified but his family has been brought up to date on the details.

De-mayo, a resident of the community settlement Hararit in the Western Galilee, passed away at a guesthouse on Om Beach, India this Sunday. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "The Department of Israelis Abroad and Israeli Consular Affairs to India representative Ziv Bilaus are assisting the family and handling the transfer of the body from Delhi to Israel." It is expected the body will be flown to Israel from India tomorrow.
