Yesterday (Thursday), Italian police arrested an ambulance crew member for suspected murder. According to reports, the suspect murdered patients in exchange for money from a mafia-related funeral home.

The suspect reportedly injected air into the veins of at least three terminal patients that were being transferred from the hospital to their homes. Local media claims that he was operating since 2012 so there might be more victims.

The 42-year-old suspect told investigators that he received 300 euros for each body. He claimed that he took advantage of the grieving families and recommended a funeral home that was connected to the Sicilian mafia.
