London fire: Number of people killed, 50 people evacuated to hospitals

According to British authorities, a number of people were killed in the huge fire in west London, which hasn’t been brought under full control yet. 50 people were evacuated to hospitals. Watch live.

As reported earlier by JOL, a giant fire erupted in a 27-floor residential tower in west London. According to the British authorities, a number of people were killed in the fire.

However, the exact number was still not given. So far, the number of people evacuated to hospitals increased to 50. The reason that the fire started is still unknown.

40 fire trucks and 200 firefighters were sent to battle the flames. According to the medical services, 20 ambulances were sent to the scene.

“At this time, I am sad to confirm that we now know that there have been fatalities,” stated London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton. “I cannot confirm the number at this time and as you will appreciate with a fire of this size, affecting such a large building it would be unhelpful of me to speculate further.”
