Following the deadly counter-terror police raid in Belgium, terror alert level remains high on Friday morning. A Western Intelligence source told CNN that there appears to be up to 20 sleeper terrorist cells across Europe, with a total of 120-180 people prepared to strike in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Two terrorists were killed in yesterday's raid in Belgium and a third arrested. According to RTL, they belonged to a group that was about to carry out major attacks in Belgium imminently.

Several police raids and operations have been taking place in several major European capitals. In Berlin, police arrested two men suspected of helping to recruit for the IS, following a series of raids on 11 residences in the city.

In Paris, 10-12 people were arrested during the night in raids targeting people linked to jihadist Amedy Coulibaly, who attacked a kosher store. In addition, police closed and evacuated a central train station after a bomb threat.

In Belgium and the Netherlands, which according to the aforementioned Intelligence source face the most imminent terror threat, Jewish schools in Amsterdam, Brussels and Antwerp were closed and classes canceled after officials said they were a potential target for terror attacks.
